As Jesus draws His followers in, he declares they are ‘Salt of the earth’ and ‘Light of the world’. What do these mean? How does this flow on from being ‘blessed’, in all the ways that His sermon on the mount describes? During term 2 we’ll ponder these things. What does it mean to follow Jesus in a world which can be bland and fading, or dark and gloomy? How do these lead to joy and purpose in life, and how do they ultimately bring glory to God?
